Carl J. Dokken, 68, Passes Away Saturday
Funeral services were held Wednesday at 1:30 p.m. in the First Lutheran Church of Palermo for Carl J. Dokken, 68, of Palermo who died Saturday. Rev. Wayne Steinbrecher officiated at the service. Mr. and Mrs. Gillian Strand sang and Mrs. Lawrence Halvorson was accompanist.
Pallbearers were Harold, Robert, Douglas and Donald Dokken and Joseph Brooks. Burial was in the church cemetery.
Mr. Dokken was born May 3, 1891 at Eagle Grove, Ia., and moved with his family to Portland, ND. They came to Palermo in 1903, and he since lived there. He was a retired grain buyer.
Surviving are a son, and three sisters, a brother and one grandson.
Thompson - Larson funeral home of Minot had charge of the arrangements.
