Mrs. Jerry Ann Long, 79, of Indianapolis, passed away on Friday, February 17, 2017. She was born on May 1, 1937 in Muskogee, OK to the late Domer A. and Lovora Mae (Merrill) Burns.

Jerry was a 1955 graduate of Bald Knob High School in Bald Knob, Ark. She worked as a secretary for L.S. Ayres until she married Walter W. Long on November 14, 1959. Jerry took great pride in being a wife and mother; but also enjoyed flower gardening, reading and watching the Indianapolis Pacers.

She is survived by her husband of 57 years, Walter; children, Glenn (Julie) Long, Sharon (Marvin) Massey, DeAnna (Bill) Moran; 7 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren. Jerry is also survived by her twin brother, Merle Burns; and sister, Jean Burns.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and siblings, Lena and Dwight.
