Age 89 of Paris, OH passed away Thursday April 2, 2015 in Mercy Medical Center. He was born April 22, 1925 in Sparkman, AR to the late Bert and Linnie (Ritter) Manning. He was a WWII Army veteran. JB was a Baptist minister for more than 50 years having served churches in Arkansas, Indiana and Michigan. He was a graduate of Central Baptist College in Conway, AR and had served as vice-president of the college for five years. He was known to his family and friends as "Jake and to his grandchildren and great-grandchildren as "Papaw". He is preceded in death by two brothers. JB is survived by his wife, Evelyn Radell (Nix) to whom he was married 68 years; two daughters and a son-in-law, Deborah Gayle Manning of Paris, Cathy Janette and Donnie Mullins of Paris; three grandchildren and six great-grandchildren; two brothers, Donald (Sarah) Manning and Murphy Manning; two sisters, Ila Mae Garlington and Alice (Homer) Garlington.
