Reinhard Edwin Reeh was born on the 4th of July in 1934 to Edwin and Ethyl Reeh in Fredericksburg, Texas. He was the youngest of nine children. He grew up on the family ranch and attended school in Fredericksburg. He met Jacklyn Jane Mauldin and married her in 1954 and they enjoyed 62 years of marriage and raised five children.

He served as a Master Gunner in the US Army during the Korean conflict. He found his true calling in life when he started his career as a public servant in law enforcement. Reinhard worked as a Texas State Trooper, Chief of Police (Marble Falls, Horseshoe Bay, Cottonwood Shores), and Chief Investigator and Captain for the Burnet County Sheriff's Office. He spent well over 40 years doing what he loved and retired at age 76.

Reinhard is preceded in death by his son, David Reeh, his parents and five of his siblings.

He is survived by his loving wife, Jacklyn; older sisters, Louise, Ima, and Alice; son, Bryan Reeh and wife Hilary, of Galveston; son, Shannon Reeh and wife Brenda, of San Antonio; son Ricky Reeh of Marble Falls; daughter Starla Thompson and husband Joe Bill, of Lindale, brother-in-law Bob Mauldin and wife Debbie, sister-in-law Betty Sigler, also 8 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. He will be dearly missed by all.

Visitation will be Monday, February 20, 2017 from 5-8 pm at Clements Wilcox Funeral Home, Marble Falls, and the Funeral Service will be held Tuesday, February 21, 2017 at 1 pm at Clements Wilcox Funeral Home, Marble Falls, followed by burial at the Christadelphian Cemetery in Hye,TX.
