CHARLES COTTRELL
Illness of seven years had resulted in the death today of Charles O. Cottrell, 78, a World War I veteran. He died at 3:55 p.m. Monday at the home of a daughter, Mrs. Delphine Yeager, 3509 S.Overman St., where he had lived since last August.
Native of Daleville, Mr. Cottrel had lived in Muncie and Marion. He formerly was with the regular Army and he was a member of the Muncie post of the Veterans of Foreign Wars. He formerly lived at the U. S. Soldiers' Home in Washington, D. C.
The following are the survivors: The widow, Mrs. Louise Cottrell, Dayton, O.; two daughters, Mrs. Yeager and Mrs. Grace Shockley, Dayton; two sons, Edward, Abington, Pa., and Francis, Danville, Ill.; 10 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
The body was taken to 2722 S. Washington St. where friends may call after 8 p.m. today.

The Rev. Walter Baumbaugh will be in charge of the funeral services for Charles O. Cottrell, 78, World War I veteran, at 2 p.m. Thursday at 2722 S. Washington St. Burial will be in IOOF Cemetery. He died at 3:55 p.m. Monday at the home of a daughter, Mrs. Delphine Yeager, 3509 S. Overman St., following an extended illness. The body will remain at the S. Washington Street address, where friends may call.
