In Calvary Hospital on Thursday evening, Mr. George Alfred McLear, of 11 Lewisham Avenue, Wagga, died at the age of 72. He was born at Dromana (VIc.) and had resided In Wagga for the past 40 years. For many years he conducted a general store. He was a member of the Manchester Unity Lodge I.O.O.F., and of Masonic Lodge Harmony, No. 22, Wagga.

He is survived by his widow (Mrs. Ada May McLear, of Wagga) ; one daughter, Janet (Mrs. R. R. Kennedy, of Brisbane), and two grandsons, Raymond and Ralph; two brothers, Messrs. John (Dromana) and James (Warrnambool) ; and two sisters,- Jean (Mrs. MCDonald, of Elwood, Vic.), and Lily (Mrs. Osborne, of Dromana).

One brother (Harry) was killed in action with the first A.I.F., and two sisters (Mrs. Jessie Wilson and Mrs. Martha Pentecost) predeceased him. The funeral will take place In Wagga today, leaving St. John's Church of England, after a service at 2 o'clock.
