WEST FRANKFORT - Shirley Ann (WILLIAMS) DARNELL, 82, died at 10:30 p.m. Monday, Aug. 20, 2007, in Herrin Hospital.
Mrs. DARNELL was born July 11, 1925, in West Frankfort to George Negley WILLIAMS and Thelma CONOVER WILLIAMS.
She was a homemaker.
She is survived by three daughters, Rebecca GRIFFITH and husband, Brad, of Herrin, Luanne GASS of Parker, Colo., and Janet COCAGNE and husband, Bill, of Nokomis; two sons, Joseph SWEET and wife, Barbara, of West Frankfort and William David HOGUE of Denver, Colo.; seven grandchildren, Matthew and Emily LIND, Melissa VRBAN, Amanda EAKLE, Jennifer HOGUE, Talon BURTON and Lance BURTON; and five great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Memorial graveside services will be 2 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 2, 2007, in Tower Heights Cemetery in West Frankfort. There will be no visitation. Friends are asked to go directly to the cemetery. Union Funeral Home in West Frankfort is in charge of arrangements.
