A. C. Bradburn (Male) Committed by W. E. Greene of San Joaquin Co. December 14th 1869. Age 40 years; native of Iowa; married; has one child about 5 months old; was last from Illinois; has been in California since 1852; occupation, farmer. The evidence of insanity is incoherency in conversation - looks wild; cries without cause; is neither homicidal, suicidal nor incendiary. This attack appeared about 5 months ago and is the first; disease increasing - no rational intervals - no hallucination; is not disposed to injure others when not opposed; is violent when he is not allowed to gratify his passions at night; is filthy; has indulged his passions to a great extent; has been intemperate in the use of tobacco; about 2 years since he had epilepsy and at times since then; health getting worse; cause of insanity excessive indulgence; class, dementia; no treatment.
Condition of patient when received about the same as represented above.
Admitted December 14th 1869. Has no property. Died August 22nd 1870 of General Paralysis.
