Son of John B. Conner & Mary Ross. Husband of Amelia Wood Conner. Newspaper articles of the time state that he was supposedly arrested for cattle stealing of which he denied and proclaimed his innocence. His father John B.Conner helped him escape. During the flee, Henry shot the sheriff. He was found and returned to jail, later he was found dead with a bullet to his dead. Strange that he could get a gun to kill himself when he is behind bars. Speculation has it that he was murdered in retaliation for shooting the sheriff. There was a inquiry afterward with a jury. The Conner Clan laid Henry to rest but not the rumors and always believed in his innocence.
