Published in The Paducah Sun, Paducah, McCracken Co., Ky., 11 Dec 2001 - MOUNDS, Ill.--Funeral Mass for Eunice "Polly" Lackey Masterson, 84, of Lake Barrington, a former beautician in Mounds and Cairo, will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Mound City. Monsignor William McGhee will officiate. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery in Mounds.

Mrs. Masterson, formerly of Pulaski, died at 7:30 a.m. Monday at Long Grove Manor in Long Grove.

Mrs. Masterson was a former member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Watervliet, Mich., and the retired co-owner of a motel in South Haven, Mich.

Surviving are her husband of 56 years, Joseph Masterson; three sons, Joseph Masterson Jr. of Indianapolis, Thomas Masterson of Bannockburn and Bruce Masterson of Riverwoods; one brother, George Lackey of Anna; one sister, Lois Davis of Kansas City, Kan.; six grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by two brothers and two sisters. Her parents were Ira and Elizabeth Reeves Lackey. Her stepmother was Lily Lackey.
