Delores Hammonds, 80, of Cunningham, KY, passed away at 1:20 am on Tuesday, February 14, 2017 at Countryside Center.
Mrs. Hammonds for many years was a book keeper in the banking industry. She taught Sunday school and worked with missions at Bethlehem Baptist Church where she also was a member. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother.
She is survived by her husband of 61 years, Denver Hammonds of Cunningham, KY; one daughter, Julie Gale Hammonds of Cunningham, KY; six sons, Denver Hammonds, Jr. and wife Marianne of Cunningham, KY, Timothy Joseph Hammonds and wife Crystell of Cunningham, KY, John Paul Hammonds and wife Cheryl of Villa Park, IL, David Scott Hammonds and wife Tracy of Paducah, KY, Phillip Andrew Hammonds and wife Amber of Paducah, KY, Steven Dale Hammonds of Cunningham, KY; two sisters, Paula Borders of Robards, KY, Ruby Burns of Highland, IL; nine grandchildren; and nine great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Homer Ansil Southard and Inez Ruth Ales Southard; step-mother, Abigale Southard; one daughter, Melissa Ann Hammonds; and two brothers.
Funeral service will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, February 17, 2017 at Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Bardwell with Rev. Bill Mason and Rev. Tim Harvey officiating. Burial will follow at Bethlehem Cemetery in Cunningham, KY.
Visitation will be held from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm Thursday, February 16, 2017 at Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Bardwell.
