Ruth A. Mitzel, 86, of York, died Wednesday afternoon at York County Nursing Home. The service will be noon Saturday at the John W. Keffer Funeral Home Inc., 902 Mount Rose Ave., York.
Burial will be in Susquehanna Memorial Gardens in York. Viewing will be 10 a.m. to noon Saturday at the funeral home.
Miss Mitzel was born Jan. 27, 1915, in Felton. She was the daughter of the late Lewis H. and Mary B. (Miller) Mitzel.
She retired from York Hospital. Miss Mitzel is survived by two daughters, Fay Mitzel of York and Betty Gladfelter of Manchester; three grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; her twin sister, Esther Arnold of York; and nieces and nephews.
Officiating at the service will be the Rev. Craig A. Newton, chaplain of Visiting Nurse Association Hospice.
