Hettie S. Allison was born “about” August of 1825 in Pennsylvania. She was the wife of Benjamin Franklin Tidlow.

1880 Allison, Clinton, PA, Franklin Fidlow [Tidlow] 58 born abt 1822 PA, a Carpenter, Hetty S 53 born abt 1827 PA, Lizzie 24, William 22, Ella Mays 7.

Husband died in 1890, but his obituary does not specify burial, but likely to be here with Hetty.

Death of B. Frank Tidlow.
B. Frank Tidlow, of Flemington, died Monday at 6 o’clock a.m., after an illness of about twelve weeks. He was in the 72d year of his age and was well and widely known throughout the county. The deceased was a carpenter and builder by trade and there are numerous houses and barns all over Clinton county to testify to his skill and ability in this respect and to stand as monuments to his memory. Mr. Tidlow was an excellent man and citizen and his demise is a matter that is greatly regretted by all acquainted with him and especially the community in which he lived. Funeral on Wednesday at 2 p.m.

The Ella Mays/Mayes that is with them in 1880 and 1900, her 1908 obituary stated she was the niece of Hetty Tidlow and death certificate listed father Michael Mayes/Maize. No mother listed. It's unclear who the mother was, and possibly that was the connection to her, as some trees list that her father, Michael Mayes/Maize's mother was Mary Tidlow, possible sister of Benj. Tidlow.

Mrs. Hettie S. Tidlow died at her home at Flemington on Saturday, aged 75 years. She was born in Nittany valley, being the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Archie Allison. She resided in Clinton county all her life and had been a resident of Flemington about fifty years. She was also a member of the M. E. Church. She was known for her kind disposition and affectionate ways. Mrs. Tidlow is survived by two children – W. D. Tidlow and Mrs. N. W. Clark, of Flemington. The funeral took place this afternoon at 2 o’clock. Interment in Flemington.
