Alvin married Marjorie June Smith by 1930 and they were living with her parents, Charles H. and Kate S. Smith, in Beaver Dam, where Alvin was a pharmacist.
By 1940 he and Marjorie had divorced and by 1942 he had married Hazel C. Jansen and they were in Manitowoc.
Alvin was a pharmacist for 32 years in Manitowoc, including at the Park Drug Store and the Martin Drug Store in 1960.
In Wisconsin he was a past president of a Lions Club, a member of the Scottish Rite, a Masonic Lodge, and an American Legion Post for 50 years.
He was a member of the Wisconsin and Arizona Board of Pharmacy, Sun City Square Club, Sun City Lawn Bowlers Association and El Zaribah Shrine in Phoenix.
Alvin and Hazel moved to Sun City in 1964.
Survivors included his wife, Hazel; and two nieces out of state.
