Funeral services will be conducted Monday (July 28, 1947) at Beck Memorial Home, Bloomington, Illinois.
Dr. Meyer was born on December 13, 1869 in Blloomington, Illinois, a son of Friedrich and Dorothea (Pagels) Meyer.
He practiced medicine for several years in Bloomington, Illinois, serving as the city physician and health officer and on the U.S. board of pension examiners.
Dr. Meyer was a Knights Templar and a 32nd degree mason and belonged to the Shrine of Peoria. He was formerly a member of the St. Joseph Hospital staff, and president of the staff's advisory board.
Survivors include a niece, Mrs. Dorothy Meyer Buchholtz. Three grand nieces also survive, Dorothy Buchholtz, Carolyn Buchholtz and Mildred Buchholtz.
