Charles Robert "Jack" Zipperer went to be with the Lord on February 3, 2017. He was born on July 11, 1922 to parents Frank and Linnie Zipperer in Bradenton, Florida. Jack was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, son, brother and friend that will be dearly missed by all of those who knew and loved him. He is survived by his wife of 72 years Sadie Zipperer; sons: James Zipperer and his wife Susan and Guinn Zipperer and his wife Janet; grandchildren: Trae Zipperer, Robyn Reed, Mike Zipperer, James Zipperer, Kory Zipperer, Jillian Zipperer, Heather Stobaugh, Bobby Zipperer, Anoy Zipperer, Eddis Zipperer and Lori Todic; twenty one great grandchildren; three great-great grandchildren; sisters: Lou Merritt and Mary Alice Matthews and a host of friends. He was preceded in death by his eldest son, Charles Robert Zipperer, Jr. Jack served in the U.S. Navy during WWII. He loved to spend his time fishing and spending time with his beloved family that he so loving cherished. The family will receive friends for visitation Friday, February 10, 2017 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Brookside Funeral Home, 13747 Eastex Freeway, Houston, Texas 77039. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, February 11, 2017 at 10:00 AM in the Family Chapel at Brookside Funeral Home followed with a burial in Brookside Memorial Park.
