Born in Middletown, May 14, 1924, she was a daughter of the late J. Ross and Nora P. Six Adams. She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church, Middletown.
She was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother; was an avid gardener and was especially proud of her yard.
She is survived by three children, Shirley May Farley and husband Ronald, Glenn Robert and Sally Lutz Routzahn and William Ross and Susan Harding Routzahn, all of Middletown; six grandchildren, Sharon Renee Farley Simpson and husband Scott of Goose Creek, S.C., Nathan Glenn and Amy Green Routzahn of Frederick, Evan Robert and Katherine Harding Routzahn of Brunswick, Seth Ryan and Jessica Rose Routzahn of Mount Juliet, Tenn., Matthew Ross Routzahn of Nashville, Tenn., and Michael Ryan Routzahn of Middletown; three great-grandchildren, Jocelyn Elizabeth Simpson, Rylie Grace Simpson and Ashlynn Elizabeth Routzahn; and two sisters-in-law, Jo Adams of Frederick and Isabel Adams of Middletown.
She was predeceased by four brothers, Paul Adams, Roland Adams, Leroy Adams and William Adams; and four sisters, Catherine Coblentz, Helen Flook Letherman, Dorothy Adams and Ellanora Minnick. She was also predeceased by a grandson, James Patrick Farley, in 1989.
The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 18, at the Donald B. Thompson Funeral Home, 31 E. Main St., Middletown. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, Jan. 19, from Zion Lutheran Church in Middletown. There will also be a viewing one hour prior to the church service on Friday. The Rev. Blaine E. Feightner, her former paster, and the Rev. Carroll L. Boyer, visitation pastor, will officiate.
Interment will be made in Zion Lutheran Cemetery, Middletown.
