Mary Lee was born April 25, 1922, in Hearne, Texas, the youngest child of seven children born to Judge J.E. Mooney and Clara Anne Mooney (née Wallace).
Mary Lee and Watty were members of the First United Methodist Church, Texarkana, TX, and Mary Lee spent many decades teaching Sunday School.
Her husband, Watty, preceded Mary Lee in death, as did her oldest grandchild, Beau Watty Gibson, and six brothers and sisters. Mary Lee leaves daughters, Marilyn Gibson of Texarkana, Texas, and Tere Myers, of Houston, Texas, a grandson, Drew Lee Gibson of Texarkana, TX, numerous nieces and nephews, and a host of friends and admirers.
