Shirley M. Conner, 86 of Fishertown, died Wednesday, February 8, 2017 at Donahoe Manor Nursing Home.
She was born on May 20, 1930, in Ellsworth, OH, a daughter of the late D. Walter and Bessie (Miller) Ickes.
On September 30, 1950, in Fishertown, she married Emanuel D. Conner who preceded her in death on July 15, 2012.
She is survived by three daughters: Terry wife of Walter Douglas, of Fishertown, Cathy wife of Richard Evans, of Schellsburg, and Wendy wife of Eulalio Rodriquez, of Phillipsburg, MO; seven grandchildren: Scott Ibarra and wife Saehee, Shanna Fye and husband Eric, Shelly MacGregor and husband Matt, Dan Parks and wife Emily, Jesse McGinnett, Alex Dively, and Ethan Douglas and wife Sarah; four step-grandchildren: Mindy and Michelle Douglas, Nicholas and Adriana Rodriquez; eight great-grandchildren: Nicholas, Austin, Julie, Jax, Gracie, Lauren, Mark, and Allison; two step great grandchildren: Paige and Patience.
She was preceded in death by one brother: Fred Ickes, two sisters Doris Fetter and Audrey Kimmins and one granddaughter Jenna Dively.
Shirley was a member of the Fishertown Community Bible Church. She worked for Amicks Apple House and then Fairfoot Shoe Factory. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren.
Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, February 11, 2017, at 11:00 a.m. in the Chapel at the Timothy A. Berkebile Funeral Home in Bedford.
Burial at Fishertown Cemetery.
Friends will be received on Friday, from 6 - 8 p.m. and one hour prior to the service on Saturday at the funeral home.
