CARBY, Rose Marie Carby
Rose Marie (Dolly) passed from this life in tranquillity early October 5th, 2008 at the age of ninety-four. Known for her perpetual quick wit and ready smile, Dolly lived a rich and wondrous life as a proud mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and devoted wife to her childhood sweetheart, Carl. A lover of literature and a voracious reader as long as her eyesight allowed, Dolly was a storyteller extraordinaire to the great delight of her entire family and many whose lives she touched over the years. In her younger days, Dolly was a proud member of the CWL and also worked in her mother's private hospital. She was a skilled seamstress, a culinary mastermind with an endearing sweet tooth, and at the root of all things an adventurous spirit with a twinkle in her eye who was ever the definition of a lady. Dolly was preceded in death by her loving husband Carl, her sisters, Ellen, Mabel, Viva, Bertha, Alice and brother, Napoleon.
