HARTLAGE, Alberta Rosella 101, of Tampa, passed away peacefully to the Lord on February 5, 2017. She was preceded in death by her husband of 74 years, Frederick R. Hartlage Jr. (Eleanor), Mary Lois Fernandez (Dr. Robert), Brenda Mack (Warren), Dr. Randell Hartlage (Debbie), Christopher Hartlage (Patricia), and Lauren John Hartlage; 11 grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren. Alberta was a practicing Catholic all her life and was active in parish life. She lived her life as an example of her faith, respectful of everyone and extended her belief through charity work such as Meals on Wheels for 25 years. A family statement read, "Mom was a dear mother, a strong modest example of ethical values; someone always on call for those in need; deeply devoted to the Lord and the Blessed Mother. She will be dearly missed but we all are grateful she passed in peace. We know she is now reunited with her husband." Visitation is scheduled for Friday, February 10, from 6 to 8 pm at Gonzalez Funeral Home. A funeral Mass will then be held at St. Lawrence Catholic Church on Saturday, February 11, at 1:30 pm with interment to follow at Sunset Memory Gardens. The family wishes to thank all the wonderfully competent staff at Angels Senior Living, MacDill Avenue, and LifePath Hospice Garnet team. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Jesuit High School, Academy of the Holy Names, St. Lawrence Catholic Church or LifePath Hospice. Arrangements entrusted to the care of Gonzalez Funeral Home, 7209 N. Dale Mabry Hwy., Tampa, 33614.
