KEYSER — Wilbert Lee Smith, 65, of Fort Ashby, died yesterday in Sacred Heart Hospital, Cumberland. Born in Pierce, W. Va., he was a son of Mrs. Ida Mae (Hyde) Smith of here, and the late Daniel A. Smith. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mrs. Alma Mae (Redhead) Smith. Mr. Smith was a retired employee of the Chessie System. Surviving are two sons, Allen Leroy Smith and Steven Wayne Smith, both at home; a daughter, Miss Barbara Ellen Smith, Mississippi; five brothers, Richard Smith and Lloyd Smith, both of Martin; Robert Smith, Cumberland; Richard Smith, Keyser; Milford Smith, McCoole; five sisters, Mrs. Sadie Harris, Williamsport, W.Va.; Mrs. Martha Whetzel, New Creek; Mrs. Lucy Watson, King George, Va.; Mrs. Leatha McNemar, Keyser; Mrs. Beulah Ray, Keymont, and three grandchildren. Friends will be received at the Rotruck Funeral Home today and tomorrow. Services will be Tuesday at 1 p.m. in the funeral home with Rev. Paul Suder officiating.
