Ora Lee Howard Gillend, 91, of Varina, went to be with her Lord on February 6, 2017. She was preceded in death by her husband of thirty-eight years, Ernest Vance Gillend, Sr., her sons, Vance and James "Bubba" (Frances); her parents, Fred and Bertha Howard; her brothers, Ken, Mitchell, Hatcher, Fred Jr. The family would like to thank the staff at The Village – Manor Care and Hospice Community Care for the love and understanding shown to Ora Lee over the past two years. A funeral services will be held on Friday, February 10, 2017, at 10:00 a.m. at Nelsen Funeral Home at 4650 South Laburnum Avenue Richmond, Virginia 23231 with interment to follow at Washington Memorial Park.
