JOHNNIE McDILL TURNER, 81, of Memphis, retired carpenter, died Friday at Methodist Hospital. Forest Hill Funeral Home East has charge. He was a World War II Army veteran. Mr. Turner, the husband of Ruth Turner, also leaves a sister, Florence Korby of Negaunee, Mich., and five brothers, Tom Turner of Jackson, Tenn., J. D. Turner of Gunnison, Miss., Charles Turner and Joe Turner, both of Earle, Ark., and James Turner of Gibson, Tenn. (Published in The Commercial Appeal, Memphis, TN, on November 28, 1993)
