FRANKIE LYNN AKE, of Chester, passed from this life on February 6, 2017 in Oklahoma City at the age of 61 years, 11 months, and 9 days. He was born on February 28, 1955 to Frank E. and Jackie (Wallis) Ake in Oklahoma City.

Frankie grew up in the Orion Community on the family ranch, graduating from Seiling High School with the Class of 1974. Shortly after graduating, he married Bonnie (Rauh) and to this union two children, Shandell and Michael were born.

In March of 2001, he was united in marriage to Paula Griffiths at the Orion Baptist Church.

In addition to ranching, Frankie worked several other jobs including roustabout, maintenance, operating heavy equipment, and welding. Frankie will be remembered for always trying to make others laugh.

Frankie was preceded in death by his wife Paula Ake; parents Frank and Jaqueline “Jackie” Ake; and two brothers, Gene and Gary Ake.

He is survived by his son, Michael Ake of Seiling; daughter Shandell and husband Jerry A. Ledford of Yukon, and two grandchildren, Regan and Jerry E. Ledford.

Funeral services held on FRIDAY, February 10, 2017 at the Orion Baptist Church with Pastor Micky Flynn officiating. Burial will follow at the Orion Cemetery under the direction of Luke Faires and the staff at Redinger Funeral Home.
