MUNCIE--Sondra Joan Field, 78, passed away at 8:15 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 5, 2017 at North Woods Village Nursing Home, with her loving family at her side. She was born in Hartford City on Jan. 9, 1939 the daughter of Lyonel F. Gray and Marcella T. (Thomas) Gray. Both parents precede her in death.

Sondra graduated from Hartford City High School in 1957 and attended Ball State Teacher's College. She married the love of her life, Larry K. Field, on June 14, 1959 at Grace United Methodist Church in Hartford City. He precedes her in death on Dec. 29, 2003.

Sondra was a homemaker, wife, mother and grandmother "Mammer". She was an avid Pacers and Colts fan.

She will be sadly missed by her son, Michael S. Field; daughter, Lisa A. (husband-Greg A.) Smith; and two grandchildren.

Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Keplinger Funeral Home, Hartford City, with Pastor Gary Hall officiating. Burial will follow at Gardens of Memory, Muncie. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Little Red Door, 2311 W. Jackson St., Muncie, IN 47303.
