Born in Portville, she was a daughter of the late William H. and Caroline Brideson Bowlsby. She was the widow of the late George D. Shaw, Sr. She married Mr. Shaw in 1912 and has resided in Ithaca since that time.
Mrs. Shaw was a member of St. Paul's Methodist Church.
She is survived by a son, George D. Shaw, Jr., Ithaca; two grandsons; a great-granddaughter; two sisters, Mrs. Mabel E. Wilkins, Olean and Mrs. Margaret Mantz, Dunkirk, New York.
Funeral services were held in the Bangs Funeral Home. The Rev. Sheldon Stephenson of St. Paul’s Methodist Church officiated. Burial was in the Lake View Cemetery family plot.
Bearers: Elmer Bazzell, LaVere Brown, Max Hagin, and Donald Roskelly.
