Charles Alexander Jr., loving
and generous husband, father,
grandfather and great-grandfather,
well respected by this community
and a man of few words
but always wise ones, passed away
on Wednesday, Sept. 7, 2005.
Charles was a businessman,
banker and rancher. In 1964, Mr.
Alexander started his own business,
International Trucking
Company. He was also one of the
founding directors of the South
Texas National Bank.
Charles spent many happy
hours working and enjoying his
ranch, El Papalote. He will be
greatly missed by all who knew
him. He was preceded in death
by his parents, Charles Alexander,
Sr. and Teresa Henry
Alexander; sister, Carlota A. Villarreal;
brother-in-laws, Alfredo
Villarreal and Isidro Gutierrez.
Mr. Alexander is survived by
his loving wife of 63 years,
Caliope Coussoulis Alexander; his
children, Charles G., Samuel
(Kathie), Marcia, Henry (Anna)
and William. He is also survived
by his grandchildren; James,
Robert (Adriana), Chuck Jacaman,
Jennifer Jacaman, Justin Jacaman,
Nicole A. Yandell (Jason),
Jason, Jeffrey, Tiffany, Christine,
and Carolina, his great-grandchildren;
R.J., Lauren, Jonathon,
and Jennifer, his brothers; Joe (Alice)
and Patrick (Diana) and his
sister, Marie A. Gutierrez.
A rosary will be recited
Thursday, Sept. 8, 2005, at 7 p.m.
at Joe Jackson Heights Funeral
Chapels, 719 Loring at Cortez.
Visitation will be from 5:30 p.m.
to 8 p.m.
Family is inviting friends to
meet on Friday, Sept. 9, 2005, at
Blessed Sacrament Catholic
Church to celebrate a Holy Mass
at 9:30 a.m. Interment will follow
at the family plot in the Calvary
Catholic Cemetery.
