Don Keith Hacker: Born to John F and Alice Jane Hacker. He and Ola Pitman were quietly married on Wednesday, December 29th, at the M. E. Parsonage, Rev. J. L. Boyd, pastor of the church, performing the ceremony. He farmed his entire life in Franklin Twnship in Decatur County. He and Ola raised two son's John and Keith. John followed his fathers foot steps into farming. Keith opened and ran a successful tack / western store in Leon. After retirement he still raised sheep on the small acerage on the east edge of Weldon. He was a hard working man and died doing just that. At the age of 81, he had some concrete that he wanted removed. While swinging a 10 lb sledge hammer in the heat of August, he suffered a heart attack and passed away.
