Ellen Mary "Mary Ellen" Stocker of Rutland died March 5, 2006, on her 80th birthday, at Genesis Eldercare Mountain View Center, following a brief illness. She was born March 5, 1926, in Leicester, the daughter of Dominic and Clara May (Hance) Clement.
Mrs. Stocker had been employed for more than 10 years by Foley's Laundry prior to becoming a private duty nurse for several years.
She was a member of Christ the King Church.
She enjoyed embroidering and watching the birds and squirrels.
Survivors include a daughter, a sister,five grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; a companion,and several nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Stocker was predeceased by a daughter, Carol May.
Burial will be at a later date in East Clarendon Cemetery.
