"Jack Gordon Adams

Services for Jack Gordon Adams were held Monday, August 9, 1999, at 2 p.m. at Wright's Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Rex Yancey and the Rev. Herman Kelly officiating. Burial was in Odd Fellows Cemetery in Quitman.

Mr. Adams, age 85, of Quitman, died Saturday, August 7, 1999, at Heartfelt Hospice in Meridian. He was a retired Revenue Inspector with the Motor Vehicle Comptroller and a veteran of World War II.

Survivors include his wife, Maxine Moore Adams, of Quitman; two daughters and sons - in - law, Jackie Sue and Doug Baker of Brandon, and Dianne and Randy Barnes of Meridian; two brothers, James H. Adams, of Reseda, Calif.; and William M. Adams of Lake San Marcos, Calif.; five grandchildren, Ellen and Paul Nader, of Madison, Tiffany and Randal Hendrix, of Meridian, Holly and Dr. Woody Sistrunk of Rochester, Minn., Jim and Markette Baker, of La Grange, Ca., and Shana Barnes of Meridian.

Serving as pallbearers were Dr. Kim McDonald, Gordon Rentz, Earl Lucas, Robert Moore, Bill Adams and Jerry Johnston. Honorary pallbearers were members of his Sunday School class.

Visitation was held from 5 to 9 p.m. at the Chapel on Sunday, August 10, 1999.

The family requests memorials be made to Heartfelt Hospice in Meridian or your favorite charity."
