It is assumed that he was buried here in what was then the cemetery of the Raritan Dutch Reformed Church. His three children were all baptized here shortly before his death so he seems to have been a member. His son Jeremiah was later a member and his children were also baptized here.

He married Sarah (Davis?) c. 1710 and had three children--

* Jeremiah, baptized 3 June 1714, who lived in Somerset County
* Sarah, baptized 3 Apr 1717 and believed to have died young
He died young around 18 Oct 1717 in Piscataway and left a will mentioning his wife Sarah, mother Jane, and three children.∼Grandson of Edward Doty (7463099)& Faith Clarke (16705388).
