Albert Acres, Once Of Ashland, Expired Thursday

Virginia - Albert Acres, former Ashland resident, died at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at the Muncy Nursing Home at Springfield. He had been a machinist.
He was born Sept. 22, 1876, in Morgan county near Literberry. He spent most of his life at Ashland. The past 10 years he resided at Springfield.
Surviving are his wife, Ida of Springfield; two sons, Calvin of Michigan City, Ind., and Samuel of Carthage, Ill.; and three daughters, Mrs. Fred Titus of Kansas City, Mo., Mrs. Claude Williams of Callas, Mo., and Mrs. Harold Wankel of Petersburg.
He leaves two sisters, Mrs. Earl Petefish of Virginia and Mrs. Velma Heath of Fort Pierce, Fla.
Services will be conducted at the Massie Funeral Home at Virginia at 2:30 p.m. Saturday. Rev. George Wilson of the local Christian church will officiate. Burial will be made in Ashland cemetery.
