WICHITA- Janene Crosley, 59, died Friday, February 03, 2017 at Harry Hynes Hospice, Wichita.  Born March 5, 1957 at Stafford she was the daughter of Max and Alma Hackler Edwards.  Janene grew up in Sylvia, Kansas and attended Sylvia Schools, graduating from Fairfield High School in 1975.  She attended Oklahoma Christian College and received her nursing degree from Wichita State University in 1980.  She worked for Wesley Medical Center as a registered nurse for 35 years.  Janene also was a team leader for the American Heart Association and always participated in their walks and in collecting donations. During her time at Wesley she developed many strong friendships with her nursing coworkers, doctor, and patients. 

in 2000, Janene married Don Crosley, Jr.  They enjoyed their happy life together by traveling and going to local entertainment events.  Janene was a member of the Northside Church of Christ.  

She is survived by her husband: Don Crosley Jr., his mother: Maxine Crosley, daughter: Mercedes Crosley,  Janene’s mother: Alma Hackler Edwards, Janene’s sisters and their husbands: Dana Edwards and Mike Fitzgibbons, Miriam and Gary Brichacek, her nephews: Kevin Fitzgibbons, William, and Joseph Brichacek, Her niece and her husband: Andrea Joy and Nathaniel Schaaf and many other relatives. 

She was preceded in death by her father, Max

Funeral service will be 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, February 8 at Minnis Chapel, Stafford. The family will receive friends 6-8 p.m., Tuesday, February 7 at the Sylvia Church of Christ, 407 S. Thompson, Sylvia, Kansas.  Burial will be at Sylvia Cemetery. Memorials may be sent to the American Heart Association or Kansas Humane Society, both in care of Minnis Chapel.
