Clarence was the son of Monroe W. Norton Sr. and Alice M. Sellman. He married Anna F. Gross.

He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II.

TRENTON - Clarence A.W. Norton Sr., 71, died Friday at home.

Born in Trenton, Mr. Norton was a lifelong area resident.

He was a case line supervisor for C.V. Hill Refrigeration of Trenton, retiring in 1987. He was a member of the Steel Workers Union of America Local 5298 and American Legion Post 0314 of Ewing. He was also a member of Covenant Presbyterian Church and an Army veteran of World War II.

Son of the late Alice M. and Monroe W. Norton Sr., brother of the late Thomas C. and Eugene S. Norton, and husband of the late Anna F. Gross, he is survived by four sons and daughters-in-law, Clarence A. Jr. and Lorraine M. Norton of Trenton; Harry W. and Lorraine A. Norton of Hamilton, Monroe W. and Kimberly A. Norton of Lawrenceville, and Steve A. and Lynn Norton of Hamilton; a sister, Dorothy A. King of Holiday, Fla.; four brothers and three sisters-in-law, Monroe W. and Charlotte Norton Jr. of Trenton, Raymond S. and Antenette Norton of Trenton, William G. Norton of Trenton; and Dennis W. Sr. and Diane Norton of Trenton; and uncle, William Sellman of Philadelphia; eight grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Tuesday from Saul Memorial Home, 1740 Greenwood Ave.

Burial will follow in Fountain Lawn Memorial Park Cemetery, Ewing.

Calling hours will be 6 to 9 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
