Violet M. "Vi" Wagner, 89, of Delaware and formerly of Marysville died Friday February 3rd, at Grady Memorial Hospital in Delaware. She was a retired LPN.

Vi was a long time member of the Marysville First United Methodist Church where she was active in the United Methodist Women evening group. She was also a past member In-as- Much Circle of Kings Daughters and the Marysville Lioness Club.

After her many years as an LPN employed at Union Manor Nursing Home in Marysville, she continued working as a clerk at Swan Cleaners, was then employed at Masai Water and, finally, was employed at Honda of America through Scioto Industrial.

Vi was born June 29, 1927 in Detroit, MI to the late Willard and Agnes Hoile Cook. She married Richard V. Wagner August 15, 1964 in Hamilton, Ohio. He preceded her in death February 3, 2013. She was also preceded in death by son Larry Whaley and her stepchildren, Diana Wagner and Richard Steven Wagner.

She is survived by her daughters, Patricia (Emmett) Whiteaker of Delaware, Sharon (Douglas) Thomas of Hamilton, Gloria (Robert) Walter of Perrysburg; loving step daughters Susan (Carl) Spain of North Lewisburg, Brenda (Kevin) Retzlaff of Columbus; grandchildren, Cindy (Larry) Poling, Jeffrey Kirk, Peggy (Dan) Hall, Laura (Jerry) Ramsey, Melissa (Kip) Owens, Rhonda (Terry) Johnson, Christy Schlenk, Lea Ann Whaley, Heidi Whaley, Lindsey Mahardika, Brian Walter; step grandchildren, Nicki (Don) Boitnott, Todd (Wendy) Spain, Nancy (Dave) Borror, Marlena (Shawn) Crabtree, Jessi Wagner, Julie (Tony) Perry, Timothy Baker; 15 great grandchildren; 7 step-great grandchildren; and several great-great grandchildren.

Calling hours will be held from 6-8pm Thursday at the Ingram Funeral Home, Marysville. Funeral services will be at 1pm Friday at the Marysville First United Methodist Church with the Rev. Aaron Brown officiating. Burial will follow at Oakdale Cemetery.
