Ashland, Sept. 10. Mrs. Ada Stribling, wealthy widow of P. J. Stribling and a member of an influential family of Cass county, drowned herself in a cistern at her home tonight. Despondent on account of ill health is given the cause.
Mrs. Stribling was 61 years old and was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Oswell Thompson, born in Cass county six miles southwest of Virginia. Her husband preceded her in death in 1912. They were the parents of five children. The funeral will be held at the home at 2 o'clock Sunday afternoon.
