In 1859 Mr. Anken was married in Highmarket to Catharine Klosner. She survives, with five children, Frank R. Anken, of Constableville; Edward, of Highmarket; Mrs. Jacob (Lillian)Ueltschi and Mrs. John Ueltschi, of Utica, and Mrs. Daniel (Clara) O'Brien, of Port Leyden. Mr. Anken was the last of a family of 12 children, with the exception of one brother, who lives in Switzerland. He also leaves 11 grandchildren and one great grandchild.
