JOAN HOPE HAGERMAN, 87, passed away Friday, Feb. 3, 2017 at The Towne House Retirement Center in Fort Wayne. Born in Fort Wayne, Ind., she was a daughter of the late Ralph and Grace Irving. Joan attended North Side High School, Stevens University and the University of Michigan. She was a member of the Fort Wayne Country Club, Junior League, Wilderness Country Club of Naples, Fla., Clear Lake Yacht Club and Grace Lutheran Church of Naples, Fla. She was an avid bridge and Mahjongg player and enjoyed golf. Surviving are sons, Dan (Ginger) Lawrence of Huntertown, Ind. and Randy (Kim) Lawrence of Fort Wayne, Ind.; grandchildren, Ross (Heather) Lawrence, Haley (Rick) Lawrence Evans and Nathan (Megan) Lawrence, all of Fort Wayne, Ind.; great-grandchildren, Kailei Diss, Beau and Aubrey Lawrence, Sydney Evans and Emma Lawrence; sister, Jean Barnes of San Jose, Calif. Joan was preceded in death by first husband, J. Douglas Lawrence, second husband, William "Pete" Hagerman; brother, Jim Irving, A Gathering of Family and Friends is from 3 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 7, 2017 at D.O.
