Martha "Mattie" A G Beard was the daughter of Jake Beard and Levicy Cox Ragsdale. Mattie married Thomas W Floyd on July 27, 1876, in Holly Springs, MS. They had two girls, Alma and Elvira "Vic". Thomas died about 1882. After his passing, she married William Henry Andrews, Jr in Corsicana, Navarro Co., TX on September 4th, 1884. Their only son together, Joseph Edward was born on July 2nd, 1885 in Corsicana. Mattie died about 1886 or 1887. She is believed to be buried on the farm where WH worked, and where they lived. The farm place is now underwater as the Richland Chambers Reservoir covers the area.
