Charlene Gaither, 85, of Seymour, Texas passed away Saturday, April 9, 2016 in Aspermont. Services will be Wednesday, April 13, 2016 at 10:00 a.m., at the First Christian Church with Benny Archer, officiating.

Burial will be at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday in the Guthrie Cemetery in Guthrie, Texas, under the direction of Archer Funeral Home.

Charlene was born July 2, 1930 in Vernon, Texas to Charlie and Addie Scruggs Coker. She attended school in Seymour. She married John Gaither on August 31, 1947 in Seymour. He passed away on November 11, 2004. Charlene was a cook on the 6666 Ranch and later owned and operated a re-sale shop in Seymour. She was a member of the First Christian Church. Charlene was preceded in death by a son, Mark Gaither; 1 brother and 3 sisters.

She is survived by 2 sons, David Gaither of Seymour and Joe Gaither of Wichita Falls; 2 daughters, Mary Ann Craighead of Wichita Falls and Laura Bacon of Frisco; 6 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 6:00 until 7:00 p.m., Tuesday at the funeral home.
