Jack Walton Crews, age 94, a longtime Lane, OK resident passed away on Wednesday, February 1, 2017 at Talihina, OK. 94 years, 10 months and 7 days. He was born on Saturday, March 25, 1922, to Quincey and Nancy Launa (Vernon) Crews Sr., at Ward Springs, OK.
Jack attended school at Lane. He was a retired state of Oklahoma Trapper. He was also a logger, working in Magdalena, NM., and working with his brother, Muggs as a crosscut team in cutting the giant redwoods. Jack worked at Ruidosa, NM., as a guard.
Jack proudly served his country in The Army Air Corp during WWII. He married Ruth Delene (Sheffield) on Wednesday, July 1st, 1964 at Farris, OK. She preceded him in death on December 15, 2007. Jack was a member of Lane Baptist Church. He enjoyed gardening, raising watermelons and canteloupes, and spending time with his family and church family.

Roberson and wife Shirley of Ada, OK, Bill Roberson of Atoka, OK, Leon Roberson and wife Evelyn of Atoka, OK, STEP DAUGHTERS: Dorthy Cole of Wellston, OK, Lillie James and husband Paul of Farris, OK, SISTERS IN LAW: Louise Crews of Lane, OK, Voda Sheffield of Lane, OK, GRANDSONS: Tommy and Troy Sensibaugh of Tennessee, along with nieces, nephews, and step grandchildren and many dear and loved friends.
