Eldest son of Lt. Col. John Green Pittman and Mary Moore.
Husband of Martha Goodman and Mourning "Mona" Bailey.
Father of 1st: Mary Jane Sara Ann Pittman, John Green Lumpkin Pittman, William Robert Pittman, James Timothy Pittman, Martha E. Pittman. 2nd: Frances "Fannie" Pittman McMillan, Wiley C. Pittman, Annie Eliza Pittman Singletary.

Note: The attached obituary from the March 12, 1893 Thomasville Daily Times Enterprise states his date of death was March 10, 1893 instead of 1890 as seen on his grave marker. The Laurel Hill Cemetery office was contacted and they reported having his date of death recorded in two places. One said he died March 1893 and the other one only 1893. It can be assumed the grave marker was done some time after his death and a descendent provided the incorrect date of 1890 or a mistake was made by the stone preparer.
