Lowell B. Addington NICKELSVILLE, Va. — Lowell B. Addington, 89, of Nickelsville, Va., passed away on Monday (March 16, 2015) at his residence, surrounded by his loving family, after a lengthy illness. Mr. Addington was of the Christian faith and loved to fish. He was preceded in death by his parents, Will Brooks and Opal Malinda Addington; son, Lowell Addington Jr.; brothers, Edgar and James Addington; mother and father-in-law, Will and Novella Farmer. Mr. Addington is survived by his wife of 64 years, Frankie, of the home; children, Linda Louise Addington and Billy Addington, both of Nickelsville; grandchildren, Barry Addington and wife Jennifer, Randy Fugate and wife Gina, Johnny Fugate and wife Gail, Allen Fugate, David Fugate and wife Kelly, Susie Van Note and husband Tobin, Debbie Rowe; five step grandsons; eight great-grandchildren; two nieces. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 5 to 7 p.m. at Colonial Funeral Home in Weber City, Va. and anytime at the home. Funeral services will be at 7 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Pastor Joe Barber and Pastor Faith Ramer officiating. Music will be provided by Gaines Burke. Grandchildren will serve as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Bobby and James Farmer, Carolyn Odle, and Melissa Farmer. Graveside services will be conducted at 11 a.m. at Addington Frame Cemetery. Family and friends are asked to meet at the cemetery no later than 10:50 a.m. The family would like to extend a special thanks to Mountain Region Home Health Care and Dr. DeMotts, nurse Stephanie Barger Meade and Nickelsville Rescue Squad. Colonial Funeral Home, Weber City, Va. is honored to serve the family of Lowell B. Addington.
