son of james ira and lydia davis of latham ohio. he joined the army in 1952.he served his country in korean and vietnam wars.he was a decorated war hero in 1972.he married virgina bowman and had one son thomas eugene davis.on feb 7 1958 he married martha thomas and had ken davis,robert davis,lisa cox davis,cynthia,katrina, and clyde lee davis.with 16 grand children 17 great grand children.
