JOHN LIVENGOOD DIES SUNDAY, RITES WEDNESDAY
John Roy Livengood, 76, 1323 Utah Ave., Libby, died in Kalispell Sunday. He was born May 9, 1895, at Richfield, Mo., a son of John and Alice Livengood. He had received his education in Kansas and Oklahoma.
In 1915 he married Minnie Daharsh at Pryor, Okla. In 1916 the couple moved to Conrad for four years and in 1920 they moved to Lincoln County. Mr. Livengood had served as a policeman at Eureka for 10 years and was then sheriff of Lincoln County for four years before serving as deputy police judge for four years before his retirement.
He is survived by his widow; one son, Roy A. Livengood, Raymond, Wash.; four dauhters, Mrs. Charles (Bernell) McClay, Reeds Port, Ore.; Mrs. Gertrude Schneider, Seattle; Mrs. Charles (Mary) Baril, Columbia Falls; and Mrs. Leonard (Lois) Emmert, Kalispell; 16 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Funeral services for Mr. Livengood will be at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday in the Johnson chapel with the Rev. G. Ray Davis, pastor of the Columbia Falls Methodist Church, officiating. Interment will be in Conrad Memorial Cemetery
