Carol June Allison was born October 16, 1931 to Claud E. Allen and Alice Bernice (Colgrove) Allen in Arapaho, Oklahoma and passed away Thursday, January 26, 2017 in the Grace Living Center in Clinton, Oklahoma.
She was raised in Arapaho and graduated from Arapaho High School in 1949. She worked for Oklahoma Department of Transportation from 1949 until 1951. She was married to Donald Allison December 30, 1951 in Arapaho. They made their home in Clinton and she returned to the work force of Oklahoma Department of Transportation in 1964 and retired from there in 1995. Mr. Allison preceded her in death in 2010.
She was a longtime member of the First United Methodist Church. She loved to cook, sew and clean and considered those her hobbies.
She was also preceded in death by her parents, a daughter, Ginger Rogers, and three brothers, Charles Allen, Keith Allen and Donald Allen.
She is survived by a daughter Kathy Allison, Clinton, three grandchildren, Melissa Weaver and husband, Jason, Clinton, Tara Tannenbaum, Murrells Inlet, South Carolina and Rhett Poore and wife, Desiree, Clinton.; eight great-grandchildren, Erica, Patrick, Ginna, Jadyn, Jentry, Landry, Jace and Maci and one great-great-grandchild, Zoe and a very special friend, Sandra Hernandez, Clinton.
The family has suggested those wanting to give a memorial contribution may do so to Clinton’s First United Methodist Church.
