Born April 13, 1942 in Hendricks County, she was the daughter of W. Leon Pierson and Imogene (Kelly) Pierson.
She married Donnell Knauer, and he survives.
Nona had worked as head of catering for DePauw University for 24 years in Greencastle.
She was also the secretary and treasurer for Kelly Reunion. Her hobby was crafts.
Survivors, in addition to her husband, include three sons, Russell Knauer and wife Tammy, Darrell Knauer and wife Shirley, and Donnell Jr. and wife Carolyn; a brother, Larry Pierson; seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Her parents and a sister, Dianna Jo Pierson, preceded her in death.
Visitation will be held on Friday, Feb. 3 from 2-8 p.m. and also noon-1 p.m. Saturday in the Bousley Funeral Home, Coatesville.
Services are set for 1 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 4 in the funeral home with Pastor Steve White officiating. Burial will follow in the Coatesville Cemetery.
