Robert Nederhood, aged 84, of Jenison, passed away at home surrounded by his family on Saturday, March 10, 2007, and is now with his Lord and Savior. Bob was a kind and gentle-spirited man who had a great sense of humor. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army during WWII. He was preceded in death by his son-in-law, Douglas Mast. Bob will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 61 years, Maxine; his children and grandchildren, Sandy and Jerry Herrema (Rhonda and Scott Johnson, Rick and Tammy Gerrits, Julie and Steve VanDyke, Chad Herrema), Kathy Mast (Todd Mast, Ann and Eric Nienhuis, Scott and Amanda Mast), Doug and Laurie Nederhood (Rob and Maria Nederhood, Bill Nederhood and Jen Diemer, Ruth Nederhood), Pam and Don Koetje (Dirk Koetje and fiancee, Erin VanderKlok, Maggie Koetje); 12 great grandchildren; his sisters-in-law, Henrietta Nederhood, Frieda Nederhood, Geri Nederhood; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 11:00 a.m. at Cottonwood Heights Christian Reformed Church, 1101 Cypress, Jenison, with Rev. Matthew Palsrok officiating. Interment Grandville Cemetery. Those who wish may make memorial contributions to Cottonwood Heights Church - Youth Building Fund. Relatives and friends may meet his family at the Matthysse-Kuiper-DeGraaf Funeral Home, Grandville, 4145 Chicago Dr., on Monday 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
