She was born in Delroy, April 5, 1929 and was the daughter of the late William A. and Fairy M. (Fitzkee) Fox.
She and her husband, Charles "Chalk" C. Kinard, Jr., had celebrated 69 wonderful years of marriage last year.
"Margie" was an exceptional wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother and enjoyed traveling and spending time with her family.
She also was a fantastic cook and had a garden with beautiful flowers in past years. Her wit and sense of humor will be greatly missed.
Margie had also worked at Century Ribbon Mills in York for about 13 years and was a weaver by trade. She later retired from Olin Corp- Flinchbaugh Operations after 25 years of service.
She is survived by her husband "Chalk"; a daughter, Eileen L. (Kinard) Twigg and husband, David M. of Church Creek, MD.; two grandsons, David M. Twigg II and fiancé, Jennifer Kerns of Red Lion, and Stephen M. Twigg and Bessie Bedford of Dallastown; a great-granddaughter, Alexis M. Twigg of Red Lion; a brother, John E. Fox and wife, Yvonne of Potter County; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a sister, Anna M. (Fox) Attig; and a brother, William Henry Fox, Jr.
There will be no viewing. Family and friends are invited to extend their condolences on Monday, January 30 at Christ United Methodist Church of Yorkana, 5 Main Street, Yorkana. Visitation will be from 10:30 to 11 a.m. followed by a Memorial Service of Honor and Praise for Margie, beginning at 11 a.m. at the church with Pastor, the Rev. Jason Guillaume, officiating.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be offered to Memorial and Honor Program, St. Jude Children's Research Hospital , 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
